She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Oney and Virgie Ray Wells; her husband Bascom Collier; her son-in-law Roger McConnell; and her siblings, Nannie Barnett, Frances Yancey and Richard Oney.

She is survived by : her daughter Leisha McConnell; her grandson Zachary Collier; and her sister Norma Jean Redman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and several special friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Homes (1621 Norton Rd SW, Wise, VA 24293). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Laurel Grove Cemetery (4812-4850 VA-74, Norton, VA 24273).
