It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Elbert Kern Sr. (Norton, Virginia), who passed away on April 11, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Elbert Kern and Norma Gardner Kern; and his siblings, Wayne Kern and Betty Foster. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Fultz Kern of Norton; his children, Jerome Kern, Jr. of Norton, Douglas Kern (Lavaughn) of Norton and Clarissa (Bill McClain); his grandchildren, Brionna Kern, Savahanna Kern, Sierra Kern, Dylan Kern, Kaitlain McClain, Payton Kern, Lucas McClain and McKenzie Kern; his great grandchildren, Nolan and Jackson; his siblings, Vernon Kerns of Coeburn, Richard Kern of Wise, Steve Kern of Norton, Mildred Mullis of Norton, Jean Blankenship (Bill) of Norton and Alice Chandler (Radford); and his close friends, Gary, Rodney Fultz and Sandra Kinser. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
