He is survived by: his uncle Joe Wheatley; his wife Helen Wheatley; his children, Lolita Minton (James) of Norton, VA and Lee Wheatley II (Belinda) of Coeburn, VA; his grandchildren, Wes Minton (Misty) of Wise, VA, Michael Wheatley (Katlin) of Coeburn, VA and Megan Wheatley of Coeburn, VA; his great grandchildren, Adalind Minton, Jonah Minton and Riley Wheatley; and his brother Wendell Wheatley (Marion) of Wise, VA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephew and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home (956 Park Ave NW, Norton, VA 24273-1821). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 3:40 PM at the same location.
