He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Hamilton and Opal Hamilton (Freeman); his siblings, Kermit Hamilton, Claudie Hamilton, Curtis Hamilton, Jewell Ellis, Maxie Stanley and Mary Jane Stanley; and his son Zion Ledford.
He is survived by: his caregiver Connie Hensley Hamilton; his sons, Jeff Hamilton (Missy) and Michael Hamilton; his stepchildren, David Luther, Jessie Luther and Alicia Sutherland; his grandchildren, Jesse Hamilton, Dylan Luther, Natalie Luther, Madison Luther, Hannah Sutherland, Alex Sutherland and Elijah Hall; and his great grandchild Everleigh Mullins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home (956 Park Ave NW, Norton, VA 24273-1821). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wise Cemetery (107 Church St NW, Wise, VA 24293).
