He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Spriggs and Marie Spriggs; his siblings, Brenda, Tony, Liz, Doris, Betty and Leroy; and his daughter Teresa Spriggs.

He is survived by : his wife Kim Spriggs; his sons, Robert N. Spriggs (Brandy Lynn Spriggs) and Anderson Spriggs; and his grandchildren, Nichole Spriggs, Zachary Spriggs, Teresa Spriggs, Dawn Grandinetti, Tina Lynn Gatlin, Savannah Pearl Gatlin and Shannon Michael Gatlin. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
