She is survived by: her aunt Estelle Nelson; her sons, Robert Nelson Bowman (Carolyn), Daniel Hill Bowman (Julie) and Thomas Ashley Bowman (Patsy); her grandchildren, Anne Bowman Goldberg (Ted), Jonathan Parrish Bowman (Betsy), Angel Bowman Rhoten (Wil) and Charles Ross Bowman; her great grandchildren, Colby Beckett Goldberg, Austin James Bowman, Aubrey Elizabeth Bowman, Annabelle Ruth Bowman, Elizabeth Bailey Rhoten, Emerson Cole Rhoten and Ian Joseph Rhoten; and her stepgrandchildren, Brandi Newcomb Warren and Christopher Newcomb (Megan).
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blackstone Chapel of Joseph McMillian Funeral Homes (1826 Cox Rd, Blackstone, VA 23824). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Marks United Methodist Church (7221 Hungarytown Rd, Crewe, VA 23930).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church, c/o Sandra Spencer, 161 Melody Lane, Crewe, Virginia 23930 or a charity of your choice.
