We bid farewell to Barbara May Vitak of Onancock, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 7, 2025 at the age of 93. Barbara touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Norman Vitak; her parents, Lawrence Higdon and Ernestine Higdon; and her siblings, Lawrence, David, Harry Higdon, Betty Jean Bokman, Dottie Gaskill, Margie Jones and William "Billy" Higdon.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Vitak (Elizabeth) of Onancock and John Vitak (Janet) of Cape Carteret, NC; her grandchildren, Matthew Vitak (Rebecca), Jonathan Vitak (Samantha), Jacob Vitak (Shannon), Juli MacKenna (Richard) and Michael Vitak (Jane); and her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Olivia, Rowan, Jack and Henry. She is also survived by several niece and nephews.
