We announce the death of Jonathan Barnes (Onancock, Virginia), who passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 57. Jonathan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Jonathan will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Jonathan’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his parents, Norris Barnes, Jr. (Jane) and Janet Hall; his siblings, Jason Barnes, Jonah Parks (Charisse) and Amanda Marshall; and his close friend Monte Schmid. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
