She was predeceased by: her parents, A. Ford Hinrichs and Edith Pendreigh Hinrichs; her husband Thomas Henry Moriarty; her daughter Penny Work; and her sister Betty Barker.

She is survived by: her sister Carol Scripps of Williamston, Michigan; her children, Peter Moriarty (Christy) of Orange, Virginia, Cynthia Moriarty of Bloomington, Indiana, Stephen Moriarty (Deborah) of Port Angeles, Washington and Andrew Moriarty of Orange, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Kelly Steele (John), Harlan Work (Sarah), Ford (Grace), Robin, Lily, Colton Moriarty, Ben (Frankie), Claire, Daniel Frohman, Louise, Jack (Erin), Katie and Lissie Moriarty; and her great grandchildren, Emily, Charlie Steele, Ailith, Viola, Eowyn, Penny Work, Noa, Ori Frohman, Elsie and Liam Moriarty. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
