She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Walker Hicks and Lillie Herndon Hicks; her husband Otis G. Southard; her sons, Randall A. Southard and Kelly G. Southard; and her siblings, Leroy H. Hicks, Joseph W. Hicks, Thomas J. Hicks, Robert F. Hicks, Richard E. Hicks, Margaret Howerton, Doris Johnson, Catherine Hicks and Frances Barden.
She is survived by: her son Philip D. Southard; her daughter-in-law Stacy Southard; her grandchildren, Logan A. Southard, Erika L. Southard and Jordan G. Southard; and her sisters-in-law, Marjorie C. Hicks, Barbara S. Amos and Patricia S. Stewart. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
