He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Washington Racey and Ruth Bemis Racey; his sister Barbara Etta Racey; and his granddaughter Brittany Renee Racey. He is survived by: his wife Judy May Racey; his children, Jeffrey Howard Racey (Denise), Jonathan Howard Racey, Kim Oliver (Andrew) and Amy Newman (Hunter); his grandchildren, Meagan Elizabeth Racey (David), Joseph Tyler Racey, Caleb Racey, Hannah Racey, Emily Pruitt (Trevor), Courtney Hale (Ben) and Adam Lutz (Samantha); his great grandchildren, Addalyn, Amaya and Ethan Hale; and his brother Paul Bemis Racey (Dorothy).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Rochelle Christian Church (3980 Jacks Shop Rd, Rochelle, VA 22738).
