He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Brookman and Sudie Brookman; his siblings, Margeret Parr (Sonny), Christine Napier (Ellis), Patty Brookman, Kate Brookman, Eugene Brookman, Raymond Brookman (Ruby) and Richard Brookman; and his brother-in-law Luther Dodson.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Brookman; his children, Kenny (Missy), Bonnie (John), Gary, Allen (Jeanette), Lisa (Provin) and Bruce (Tammy); and his sister Betty Dodson. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home - Orange (250 W Main St, Orange, VA 22960). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Graham Cemetery (14191 Constitution Hwy, Orange, VA 22960).
