She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wood Brooking and Nora Pannill Brooking; and her siblings, Eugene Brooking (Charlotte), Edna B. Altman (Ted) and Willie Wood B. Biscoe (George).
She is survived by: her husband Gene Allen Whitaker; her children, Betty Morton Whitaker of Alexandria and Eric Campbell Whitaker of Los Angeles, California; and her siblings, Jim Brooking (Susan) of Orange and Jane Vanderburg of Richmond. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
