He was predeceased by: his parents, Winston Alvin Melson (Vivian Melson) and Phyllis Keesee Sadlowski (Edward Sadlowski). He is survived by: his wife Renee Melson of Louisa; his children, Melissa Melson of Orange, Tim Melson (Beth) of Charlottesville and Brad Melson (Amanda) of Buchanan; his stepchildren, Michelle White (Brian) of Gordonsville and Chris Southard (Jessica) of Orange; his grandchildren, Avery Melson, Ethan Melson, Parker Melson, Cameron Melson, Roni Melson, Amelia Melson, Cara White, Jake White, Lacie Southard and Olivia Southard; and his brother Tom Melson (Cathy) of Ladysmith.
