He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Curtis Powell and Vera Virginia Yancey; his siblings, Virginia "Louise" Powell, Myrtle L. Harlow, Eleanor "Pauline" Deane, Mary Belle White, Dorothy "Dot" Meadows, Weldon C. Powell, Harry G. Powell, Malcom S. Powell, Charles M. Powell and Claude S. Powell; his wife Mabel Powell; and his daughter Teresa P. Shifflett.
He is survived by: his son Robert Powell (Rena); his grandson Neil Powell (Meredith); his son-in-law Vernon Linwood Shifflett; his grandchildren, Caleb Shifflett (Karmen) and Courtney Lukowicz (Cameron); and his great grandchildren, Larkin, Kellen Powell, Maddie Lukowicz and Olivia Shifflett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
