She was predeceased by : her children, Carolyn Mottley and Junior Edward Staton, Jr.; and her sister Margaret Steadman. She is survived by : her grandchildren, Justin Mottley (Brittney) of Pamplin and Melissa Jones (Cameron); her son-in-law Larry Mottley; her great grandchild Autumn Mottley; her sisters, Joyce Baldwin and Dorothy Lair (Jerry) of Pamplin; and her pets, Minnie, Mack and Kitty. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
