He is survived by: his wife Therussell Horne; his son Shonne Caprice Horne (Jacinda) of New York; his granddaughters, Vanessa Rodriquez and Deonna Horne; his great grandchildren, Jace and Kiyomi Rodriquez; his sisters, Daisy Johnson (Frank), Annie Crowder (Freeman) and Nezzie Staton; and his sisters-in-law, Elda Horne of New York, Minerva Venable of Pamplin, Sallie Griffith, Jean Griffith (Halavar) of New York and Earnestine Scott (Cleovis) of Detroit, Michigan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jeffress Funeral Home, Inc.. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Peaceful Grove Baptist Church. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Peaceful Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
