He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Jane Allen Hudson and John Alexander Hudson, Sr.; his son Gary Dean Hudson; his sisters, Edith Miller Peters, Sue Pierce and Polly Williams; and his brother-in-law Gordon Gilliam.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Gilliam Hudson; his daughter Patricia A. Hudson (Steve Owen); and his nephew James R. Miller.
