She was predeceased by: her spouse Otho Washington "O. W." Mears; her parents, Sidney Pruitt and Ona Dize Pruitt; and her sisters, Eva Parks, Norma Fletcher, Sue Brown, Sidney Ann Davis and Nancy Horner.
She is survived by: her son Otho L. "Lennie" Mears of Spotsylvania; her grandchildren, Lucy Beadnell (Ray) of Arlington, Katie Pendergrast (Chris) of Charlotte, NC, Ryan Goodrich (Heather) of Richmond and Adam Goodrich (Jenny) of Elkton; and her brother Brooks Pruitt (Sharon). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
