She was predeceased by: her parents, Hurshel Hix Halsey and Dany Anderson Halsey; her husband James Bobby Nelson; her son Roger Allen Nelson; her brother Hix Halsey, Jr.; her granddaughter Beverly Dawn Nelson; and her pet Buckie.
She is survived by: her son Vernon Nelson; her brother Johnny Vester Halsey (family: Tammy Strain, Becky Clodfelter, Regina Lawson); and her sister-in-law Louise Halsey. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
