He was predeceased by: his parents, Orren Vaught and Faye Vaught; and his siblings, Bonnie Marie Vaught, Wanda Vaught Price (Jimmy), Thelma Vaught Albert, Harold L Vaught (JoAnn), Bryant Vaught (Margaret) and Marvin Vaught.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Kay Harman Vaught; his stepchildren, Stephanie Thompson (Jordan), Michael Willard (Katherine) and Sarah Trixler (Jim); his grandchildren, Tanner, Jameson, Brianna Trixler, William and Colin Peterson; and his sisters, Nancy V Smith (Dale) and Loretta V Atkins (Glen). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 7:00 AM. Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kendall Funeral Home (605 Snidow St, Pembroke, VA 24136). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd, Dublin, VA 24084).
