With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Ray Wright (Pearisburg, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlena J. "Penny" Wright-Winston and Samuel J. Winston, Jr.; and his stepsiblings, Stephen Winston, Rosalee Winston and Pam Blackwell.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Wright; his children, Michael Wright, Jr., Laketta Lyons and Raycheil Lynch; his brother Gemarlo Reid; his grandchildren, Sarah, Michael III, Xavier (Annamarie), Devyn, Uriyus, Camryn, Saymone, Natalia and Koltyn; his great grandchildren, Major-Lee, Mahjee and Kamiyah; and his pet Zeus. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Pearisburg (152 Ballard St, Pearisburg, VA 24134). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
