She was predeceased by : her parents, Elmore Shrader and Lucille Crabtree Shrader; her husband Larry Arthur Akers; and her sister Phylis. She is survived by : her children, Thomas A. Akers and Laura E. Lilly (Jerry); and her grandchildren, Zachary C. Richardson (Hannah), Mollie Richardson, Kellie M. Haynes (Beau) of Guam, Heather D. Lilly and Katelyn R. Lilly of Galax. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
