With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nannie Belle Meredith Via of Pembroke, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 26, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Meredith and Bessie Meredith; her siblings, Louise, Ruby Mae, James, Frank, Clifford and JD; and her husband Billy Via.
She is survived by: her daughter Diane Collins (Barry); her stepchildren, Michael Via (Wendall Robertson) and Vicki Via; her granddaughter Amber Martin (Steve); her great grandchild Sierra Martin Freeman; her great great grandchild Ember Freeman; her brother Joe Meredith of Pennsylvania; and her close friends, Nancy David, Martha Smith and Judy Frazier.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Riverview Baptist Church (219 Big Stony Creek Rd, Ripplemead, VA 24150). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
