He was predeceased by : his parents, Larry Arthur Akers and Elizabeth Mariah Shrader Akers. He is survived by : his sister Larua E. Lilly (Jerry) of Pembroke; his nephew Zachary C. Richardson (Hannah) of Pearisburg; and his nieces, Mollie Richardson of Pembroke, Kellie M. Haynes (Beau) of Guam, Heather D. Lilly of Galax and Katelyn R. Lilly of Pembroke. He is also survived by 12 great nieces & nephews.
