She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl L. Merritt and Maude Brame Merritt; her husbands, Clyde Pete Gammon and Joel B. Jackson, Sr.; and her sister Carlene Baity.
She is survived by: her children, Keith Gammon, Kim Gammon (Archie), Jill Jackson (Brian) and Brackett Jackson (Manda); her grandchildren, Austin May (Kayla) and Cameron May (Alexandria); her great grandchildren, Maverick May, Willa Reese May and Gracen May; her brother Larry Merritt (Jessica); her pets, Sam, Ginger and Chesney; and her caregivers, Courtney Bibee and Beth Hedgepeth.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home (1909 Richardson Dr, Reidsville, NC 27320). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Memory Gardens (7875 US-158, Reidsville, NC 27320).
