He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Boaz Sr. and Margorie Wingfield Dean; and his brother Melvin "Winky" Dean. He is survived by: his children, Alex Finney, Adam Finney and Kayla Salyers; his grandsons, Evan Salyers and Wyatt Salyers; and his niece Kayla Dean. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boone Chapel Church-Brethren (2228 Circle Creek Rd, Penhook, VA 24137). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at the Wingfield Family Cemetery.
