She was predeceased by: her parents, James C. Chaffin and Alberta S. Chaffin; and her sister Janet M. Harper. She is survived by: her husband Charles "Charlie" Barbour, Sr.; her brothers, James S. Chaffin and Charles Chaffin; her daughter Amy Lawson (Corey Ellis); her grandchildren, Lawson J. Ellis and Stetson J. Ellis; her son Andrew Lawson (Megan Holley); and her grandson Asher H. Lawson. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Book Hotel Christ Community Church (14900 Old Franklin Turnpike, Penhook, VA 24137).
