He is survived by: his daughters, Destiny Tignor and Leslie Gill (Billy); his grandchildren, Hunter Ford and Evelyn Satterfield; his stepsister Rita "Sue" Edens; and his aunts, Lucille Herndon (Wayne), Nancy Willis (Ray) and Margaret Phillips (Scott). He is also survived by several cousins and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Woodway Church of God (167 Bradley Dr, Pennington Gap, VA 24277). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
