It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis A. Smith of Pennington Gap, Virginia, who passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rando Smith and Suzi Zion Smith; and his siblings, John Harold Smith, Rando Smith Jr. and Helen Christie Morits (Fay Smith).
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Smith; his children, Ray Smith (Lisa), Bonnie Dorton, Fay Smith and Kathy Wenningham; his stepson Quentin Brock; his grandchildren, Mandy, Kevin, Chris, Jenny, Jamie, Angie, Christie, Raymond and Jessi; and his brother Loren Smith (Deleana). He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.
