He was predeceased by: his brother Alexander Franklin "Frankie" Litton, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patty; his children, Dr. John Scott Litton, Jr. (Valarie) of Jonesville, VA and Mandy Sanders (Robbie) of Mechanicsville, VA; his daughter-in-law Leigh Anne Litton of Pennington Gap, VA.; and his siblings, Charles David (Litton) and Lisa Jane Litton Poe.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pennington Gap First United Methodist Church (41880 E Morgan Ave, Pennington Gap, VA 24277). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lee Memorial Gardens (1986 Hickory Cir Rd, Pennington Gap, VA 24277).
