He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wyatt and Nannie French Dennis Archer; his daughter Beverly Anne Archer; and his wife Elois Deborah Scott. He is survived by: his sons, John S. Archer (Antoinette) of Midlothian and Alan K. Archer (Helene) of Newport News, Virginia; his grandchildren, Deborah L. Archer, Charles Q. Archer (Meghan) and JaCari A. Redwine; his great grandchild Avery V. Archer; and his nieces, June M. Archer and Anita C. Archer. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc. (102 South Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803). Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc. (102 South Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (403 Halifax St, Petersburg, VA 23803). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery (10300 Pridesville Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002).
