Iris S. Brown Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris S. Brown (Petersburg, Virginia), who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Iris S. Brown to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert A. Smith, Sr. and Lucille Branch Smith; and her brothers, Albert A. Smith, Jr. and Donald R. Smith. She is survived by: her husband Willis R. Brown; her daughter Lesia Carter; her son-in-law Jeffrey; her grandsons, Justin (Cynthia), Jordan, John and Antoine (Qiana); her great grandchild Jase; her brothers, Larry J. Smith, Sr. (Wanda) and Gregory L. Smith, Sr.; and her nieces, Michelle W. Smith and Rhonda Shaw. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, godchildren.

Iris was also a past member of the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer's Association, Richmond Chapter and the Tri-City Advisory Council Member of the Alzheimer's Association.
