She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Evans and Kermit Evans; her son Terrence Alonzo Evans; her great grandchild Michael J. Brooks, Jr.; and her siblings, Alice Bivens and Dreyfus Evans.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carla Hawkes (Harry), Melissa Henderson (Bernard), Yolanda Person-Jones and Shawn Sydnor Moore; her brother Tim MCcoy Evans; her grandchildren, Ebony, Tihairra, Frank, Tianna, Brianna, Zyen, Destiny and Damarias; and her friends, Diane Jones, Suteen Harris, Edna Harris and Sheila Owens. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
