He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Herman Tilghman and Doris Abbott Tilghman. He is survived by: his wife Susan Buckingham Tilghman; his pet Abby; his stepchildren, Stephen Tucker (Stefanie) of Scottsdale, AZ and Courtney Orebaugh; his sister Anne Bowman (Garry) of Durham, NC; his nephew Gordon Bowman (Irina) of London, ENG; and his niece Hilary Dredla (Russ).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pittsylvania Pet Center, 11880 US Highway 29, Chatham, VA.
