He is survived by: his children, Tammy Swofford and Taylor Forrest (Melissa); his grandchildren, Leighann Hickman (Trevor), Joe Swofford (Rachel), Sarah Forrest and Michael Forrest (Ciara); his great grandchildren, Carter Hickman, Annabelle, Madelyn Swofford, Paisley and Pruitt Forrest; and his sister-in-law Gloria McGhee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (1294 Poquoson Ave, Poquoson, VA 23662). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to either Trinity United Methodist Church, the Poquoson Rescue Squad, or charity of your choice.
