He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd E. Pruitt and Frances M. Pruitt; his daughter Lori Pruitt Wilson; and his brothers, Tyler, Eddie and Donnie Pruitt.

He is survived by: his wife Dot McNeil Pruitt; his children, Chris, April Jones (Steve Jones) and Belinda Langston; his grandchildren, Jared, Dalton, Emily, Mason, Cortney, Avery, Aubrey, Bradley, Meghan, Kyle and Chad; his great grandchildren, Graysen, Easton, Asher and Ivy; and his sisters, Retta Connors (Ashley) and Lucy Jones. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

In lieu of graveside flowers, donations may be made to a youth football or baseball program of your choice or to the Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad.
