She was predeceased by: her parents, Gracie L. Diggs and Johnnie Scott; and her husband Smitty of Suffolk, Virginia.. She is survived by: her children, Cedrick Diggs, Anita Newby and Carl "Bumsey" Silver; and her grandchildren, Frederica Newby, Tyrone Diggs, Cedrick Diggs, Jerome and Daquan Diggs.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Overton Funeral Home, Inc. (405 Johnson Ave, Suffolk, VA 23434). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greater First Baptist Church (600 Factory St, Suffolk, VA 23434).
