He is survived by: his wife Otelia Wainwright McIntyre Whitaker; his children, Etta Pierce (Pete), Phillip (Renay), Mark (Ingrid) and Dr. Caroline Larosiliere (Patrick); and his grandchildren, Arlando, Aleasa, James, Naomi, Nathaniel, Rachel, Julian, Alexis and Michelle.
