“Charlotte R. Smith was a lovely, accomplished, and godly woman whom I was privileged to call my cousin. She was raised by her large, loving Smith Family in the historic Truxton community of Portsmouth, VA. Educated in the Portsmouth schools, she graduated from I. C. Norcom HS before attending Norfolk State College. Prior to retiring, she was a federal gov't. employee for many years. She was married to Al Smith for 54 years. Charlotte was predeceased by her sister Jacqueline Smith Cuffee. RIP.”
