He is survived by: his children, Jan Gibson, Terry King, Jeremy King, Dennis King Jr. and Dylan King; his stepdaughters, Amanda Elam, Jessica Britt and Tyge; his grandchildren, Cole Gibson, Mikaela Gibson and Evan Gibson; his great grandchildren, Lawson and Palmer; and his sisters, Paula and Jo.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sturtevant Funeral Home (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
