She was predeceased by: her parents, Fleetwood Brown and Meta Brown; her husband Luther B. "Joe" Harrell; her son Stuart Perry Harrell; and her sisters, Lucille Johnson and Hazel Johnson.

She is survived by: her sons, Stephen D. Harrell (Donna) and Joseph D. Harrell (Sharon); her brother John Brown; and her grandchildren, Brian Harrell, Courtney Sloop, Troy Harrell and Samantha Harrell. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
