We are sad to announce that, on October 16, 2022, at the age of 95, Doris O. Wilder (Portsmouth, Virginia), born in Windsor, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. Rice and Eunice Chavis Rice; her siblings, Henry (HP), Eunice (Sister), Jesse (Fruze), Bertha, Corleen (Tap), Clara (Teeny) and Thelma (Sweet Pea); her husband Henry Wilder Jr.; and her son Henry Reid III.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ann, Dr. Mary W. Colden of Chesapeake, Virginia and Peggy W. Peebles of Chesapeake, Virginia; her grandchildren, G. Adam Colden Chesapeake (Loren), Sabrina R., Derrick O. Colden Woodbridge, Hurley L Peebles III, Rhonda Harmon, Crystal Barber Portsmouth and Kim C. Figueroa (Colin); and her nephew Russell Hoggard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St.Jude and Noble St.Baptist Church, Portsmouth, VA in her memory.
