He is survived by: his wife Anita Thompson Hurst; his children, Jolene Bailey (Justin) and Gary Lee Hurst, Jr. (Ashley); and his grandchildren, Kala, Jonas, Thai, Ariyana and Paislee. He is also survived by two brothers; and a host of extended family and friends.
