He was predeceased by: his wife Glenda Fuller Harrell; his parents, James Lawrence Harrell Jr. and Ruby Lee Sumner Harrell; and his daughter Monica Denise Harrell. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Harrell Wyatt (Michael), Rebecca Samantha Harrell and Gregory Todd Harrell (Carie); his grandchildren, Kyrstin, Darby, Todd, Jr., Kayleigh, Daniel, Ashley, Lauren, Elizabeth and Marshall; his great grandchildren, Owsley, Hadley, Bailee and Carter; his sisters, Patricia H. Frey and Sandra H. Mitchell; and his aunt Emily Anne Hall. He is also survived by family members and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pinecrest Baptist Church (209 Felton Rd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
