He was predeceased by: his parents, Sammy Harrison and Ritta Stout Proffitt. He is survived by: his wife Letta "Sue" Proffitt; his daughters, Debra Proffitt Britt and Donna Annette Proffitt; and his siblings, Jacqueline Paulette Nichols, Pansy Saylor and Paul Proffitt. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
