She was predeceased by: her parents, Toby Irvin Hicks and Ruth Murray Hicks; her husband Thomas Lee Thornton, Sr.; and her siblings, Sara Haynie, Mary Frame, Susie Hicks, Ted Hicks and Louise Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Olson (Ricky) and Thomas L. Thornton, Jr.; her grandchildren, Crystal Thornton, Anna Thornton and Corey Ricchezza (Eric); and her great grandchild Elias Carr.
