He is survived by: his close friends, Linwood Johnson, David and Tommy Hannah; his former wife Mary Tobin; his brother Craftwork Sound; his close friend Gene Pope; his wife Brenda Smith; his siblings, Wayne Smith (Debby) and Wilma Laster (Haywood); his children, Sherri Paris (Mike Keverline), Aimee Shannon (John) and Jay Smith; his stepdaughter Kelly Dunn (Keith); his grandchildren, Christopher Paris (Erica), Brooke Paris Foley (Timothy), Jonah Grinkewitz (Lauren), Tyler Hogan (Cora), Jordan Grinkewitz and River Smith; his stepgrandchildren, Meghan and Tanner Dunn; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Paris, Ezekiel Paris, Eliana Paris, Samson Paris, Charles Foley, Marie Foley, Theodore Foley and Wesley Grinkewitz.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Portsmouth City Park (Cpl J M Williams Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
