It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathy Kuykendall Germroth of Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Kathy departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Kathy may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Kathy leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Audrey James Kuykendall and Clifton Kuykendall; and her brother Richard Kuykendall. She is survived by: her husband Randy Germroth; her daughters, Kara McCarthy (Richard) and Kristin Germroth; and her grandchildren, Anna McCarthy, Reese Germroth and Ryan McCarthy.
