He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Ricks and Nannie C. Ricks; and his siblings, James T. Ricks, Jr. and Mozell R. Brown. He is survived by: his wife Catherine G. Ricks; his daughters, Phyllis R. Major, Deborah T. Golden and Ruby Wilson (Ann); his brothers, George W. Ricks and Floyd C. Ricks; his grandchildren, Erish, Shakinah, Cornelious, Carlton, Tagharra, Shemese, Pierre, Scottie and Marquatty; his great grandchildren, Nizhoni, Alayia and Uryiah; and his goddaughters, Angela Dixon, Starina Williams and Ashley Williams.
